We are two average youth pastors from two different states (Wisconsin & Illinois). We both have a huge passion for Youth Ministry and we also desire to share that passion with fellow Youth Pastors around the globe! We hope you enjoy our podcasts as well as join in the conversation!
I was born and raised just outside of Chicago in a suburb called Rolling Meadows. As a kid, you could find me watching the 90’s Bulls Championship videos and on the slab of pavement in my backyard pretending I was on those teams. I grew up going to Bethel Community Church, the church where I would eventually end up as Youth Pastor. But before all that happened, I studied at Moody Bible Institute and Moody Theological Seminary. I have a daughter and am married to my best friend, Sarah. I love being involved in students lives and helping them grow in their understanding of who God is and how we can have a relationship with Him in our life.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:24-25 ESV
I am a born and raised Cheesehead (and I’m very proud of it). I love watching the Green Bay Packers and NHL Hockey (especially the Blackhawks and any team Zach Parise plays for). I also have a slight obsession with Dark Roast coffee (from Caribou or Collectivo). On New Years Day 2011, I committed my life to serve God no matter where He called me, whether it was the Army or full-time ministry. The call was clear when I was accepted at Moody Bible Institute to earn my degree in Bible with Music. It wasn’t until I was plugged into a youth ministry (led by Pastor Mark) where I realized God was truly calling me to youth ministry. The best part about God is that He doesn’t let you do things alone; On May 30th, 2015, two weeks after graduating from Moody, I married by best friend Rachelle and we moved to Wisconsin not knowing God was going to call us to be youth pastor and wife in the Milwaukee area a few months later. I may have not been in youth ministry long, but I always pray for longevity in this ministry as long as God wills.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalm 139:23-24 ESV
